Coworkers have been wishing me "Merry Xmas" all day and I'm wondering if they know that the X is supposed to be a purposeful effort to not name Christ. Maybe they don't know since I had to be told when I was doing it.

@SNEK@gearlandia.haus is that even true? I thought the x was a representation of Christ

@s@freesoftwareextremist.com It's what I thought too, but a internet anime racist told me that modern use is an atheist thing so it must be true!

@SNEK@gearlandia.haus I'm an internet anime racist, and I think it's fine
in my opinion, the kike / plebbit atheist type of saying is happy holidays

@s@freesoftwareextremist.com @SNEK@gearlandia.haus reminder kike is short for kikel, because even though government forms request those filling them out to mark options with an "x", jews would use an "o" instead because they're just that deathly allergic
so no, xmas is not a kosher short form
