On FSE when a spambot registers and follows everyone with the intent of getting followbacks to spam its payload at when the time comes P usually spots the mass follow activity and kills it. On Gab Torba welcomes any activity he doesn't have to fake himself. That's why you seem to get more 'engagement' on Gab. Unless the spammers have blacklisted you, of course. I never get followed by them anymore.
