Today in, "How Libfems Have Tragically Missed the Point Yet More Again":
No, Meghan! " Purity culture", whatever you think it is, have nothing to do with this f*ckery.
It's all about patriarchy glorifying male violence and teaching men, that prostitued women, especially prostitued women of colour, are not fully human and whatever a man want's to do to them, everything is allowed and consequence free. #LiberalFeminismIsTheVirus

@Melkora@spinster.xyz I don't know if I agree with you. Purity Culture in evangelical circles reinforces patriarchal ideas about women as whores/madonnas.

Ha, ha! As if not being religious ever stopped men from murdering prostitued women 😂 @Peony20@spinster.xyz

@Melkora@spinster.xyz No...I completely agree with you there! I'm just wondering if this guy because of his religion was also influenced by that.

The religion might be an excuse, but the "purity culture" as our poor Meghan puts it have hardly anyhing to do wih it. @Peony20@spinster.xyz

@Melkora@spinster.xyz But doesn't purity culture come from patriarchal religion? I can't imagine where else it would come from.

@Peony20@spinster.xyz Hatered and violence towards prostitued women don't come from "purity culture" but from patriarchy. @BeachBleach@spinster.xyz

@Melkora@spinster.xyz @Peony20@spinster.xyz Purity culture is the other side of the virgin/whore dichotomy. It's all patriarchy. Patriarchy says that women are only defined in relation to a man's penis. That a woman's state of having or not having sexual intercourse with a penis defines her state of being. This is wrong, of course.
