(NEW EP OUT NOW!)

it's hollywood jews making it. it will be gay and subversive.

Bowsac Noodle ☦️
I watched part of the first episode and it annoyed me. They did a good job making Goliath look like a big guy
and had him throwing these man-sized javelins like they were sticks. As David is rushing Goliath with his sling, a javelin clips his side and knocks him out. That's when I knew it was going to be lame.

I dunno, they wouldn't try to be subversive kikes for a 3rd time in a row, would they? 🤔

>Bible cinematic universe
HollyJew guys are using the term because that is still in vogue nowadays to have a cinematic universe for everything. The process is more benign in itself, having multiple directors and producers come and create distinct but partially interconnecting media for the overarching franchise project. You could try and fund a continuous series headed by sole over-arching directors, like what Roma Downey and Mark Burnett did for The Bible series last decade, but that takes a lot of resources and time and focuses all that on what the sole directors want, which is always a risky investment for financiers and producers
There is also no wholesale ban from God on depicting Biblical events or having a franchise like this, as long as the adaptation does not pervert the message of Scripture, make itself like an equal to the Word, or depicting things it probably should not, like the visions of God by Isaiah, Ezekiel, or Daniel. Like Paul says in Philippians, even if Dallas Jenkins and others are not sincere, we should hope that people do take interest in the Word and the Gospel from these adaptations.
As for the moral character of those making this so-called "Biblical cinematic universe", I don't like The Chosen and I don't think the material will be handled with the complete proper care that the Word of God deserves. However, I have not heard of or seen The House of David until you just posted this, so my opinions on this could change.

Why not? I've only seen season 1, and besides Joseph
I was surprised at how non-pozzed it was.

Funny, I recall Passion of the Christ doing very well at the box office, despite Mel Gibson being labeled an antisemite at the time.

My parents had me watch that movie when I was young and it was a pivotal moment in my youth in shaping my reverence for Christ and my view of the modern American church

"Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will. The latter do it out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely but thinking to afflict me in my imprisonment. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice."
-Philippians 1:15-18
If the series connects David's life with our Savior, then it will *probably* end up being fine but with a lot of nitpicky things. If the producers miss the Christological aspects of David's life and what he had to say about Christ, then it is probably going to suck out whatever good was there over time.

I'm probably unduly biased against adaptations that don't depict a stern and sorrowful Christ or push modern mannerisms into the setting. While He may have experienced many moments of joy, including those with His disciples, that we don't see in the Word, the Gospels are a story of a Lord who sees the sins of Israel and whose people in the majority reject Him and ultimately kill Him. Because of that darkness that Christ is cutting through, the Gospels are not abundantly light hearted.
Without the Resurrection and Ascension and the salvation afforded to us through the cross, what happened to Christ throughout His life is a horror done to an innocent and truly righteous man who deserved no evil.
Oh, and Angel Studios is corrupt and politically subversive.
But I like I said, I'm probably being a sourpuss and overly critical of the show. If you and your family were blessed by the show, then I don't want to take away from you all.

How could the writers and director depict that without overbearing the artistic narrative in isolation from the New Testament? Much of Chriostological typology David exhibited was revealed in hindsight and not at the time and direct audience of Samuel and Kings.
You can go in absurd and evil directions, like that one show by Michael (((Green))) dozens of years ago modernizing David's life, trying to force David and Johnathan be gay lovers.

Sword and sandals movies are GoAT.
That Hollywood stopped making them after the 60's is why it sucks.

Its hard to pin down what the pivotal moment for shaping my devotion to Christ was.
Was it the recognition that the Axis Powers considered their war against Communism to be a Crusade? Was it reading the story of Samson and his betrayal by Deliah? Perhaps it was after witnessing the vulgar, disgusting evil that is pervasive among Christ's enemies.
Personally, I think it was after reading the story of the Centurion asking Christ to heal his sick servant, which he thought of as a son, and then when Christ asked him to take him to the sick servant, the centurion in absolute faith said that if Christ were to simply say it was so, then it would be. Matthew 8:5-13
Absolute Faith, Loyalty, and Devotion to God is the greatest among virtues. Because, its always reciprocated in full by God.
