oh what a great feeling to know members of a simplex chat were talking to you last night but you couldn't see their messages until restarting your client, only to have all of last night's messages vomited to you completely unsorted

@menherahair@eientei.org tox does a couple of other weird things though, don't they roll out their own encryption rather than using something standard iirc?
