They haven’t transitioned well. 15 was clunky. I haven’t played 16, but it didn’t sell well. I think I wouldn’t mind a bit of a return to form or at least some adaptation of 12’s combat. I liked 12 a lot.

@John_Darksoul@poa.st 16 is sometimes witcher 3 and sometimes devil may cry 5. Both good games. Boss fights and music are epic as usual. Great game.

I don't really miss it there's plenty of other games to play. I just don't really care about FF after 10 or maybe 12, that was one fun.

then again I had come off of finishing Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Ryza was a bit too comfy & slow for me at the time.

Yeah for story focused JRPGs the combat just had to be "good enough." If the gameplay AND the story sucks it's over.

@teto@cawfee.club @John_Darksoul@poa.st The only reason i'm even remotely interested with that game is because the battle director worked on DMC. I've seen mixed opinions on the game though so i'm not sure about it. It got released on Steam recently so maybe it will be cracked soon.
@LittleTom@poa.st @teto@cawfee.club I actually meant octopath when I said Bravely Default. I really resonated with Octopath Traveler, and only played the first Bravely Default. The sequels of the latter didn’t seem to be up to the first one’s quality in some ways. 😔
