fyi, chats are only available for users.
atm theres no way to "rank up" so like... 99% of people won't have access to chats.
So if you're wondering why you can't access them, that'd be why.
And to elaborate on the "users" part, this site has roles with permissions, eventually they'll be tags displayed next to peoples names to show their "status" (yknow, like if they donate to the site, or are a frequent user, or whatever).

Users have access to everything, Newbies (which is most of the site) can only post, upload files, and interact with posts.
Eventually this'll be an automatic "rank up" system, where with a certain amount of post interaction from users, the newbie will be able to become a user, and get access to the rest of the site.
The point of it is to prevent spam accounts or bad actors using the site maliciously, by requiring them to actually integrate with the community before being able to do whatever they were planning.

On paper, newbie accounts are also vulnerable to auto-deletion, if mass-reported by users.
This way the site can more effectively moderate itself, without me needing to pay attention.

I can't really fix that cause math is hard, and that was the best solution I found.
