I'm not even a moral absolutist and I want to watch them all burn.

Their evil is so cartoonish and comical that they honestly merit being flayed alive at this point and having their cured skins being used as upholstery for governmental furniture Just to drive the point home about bad behavior

Mein Gott... how long could a man stay conscious while that was happening?

Uh, do you really want me to answer that question? Because you aren't gonna like my responses.

The major blood vessels in the human body are mostly buried deep and are not at risk from a recreational flaying. Blood loss induced shock is not a risk as long as the operator stays superficial and doesn't go digging with sharp objects. What can cause shock and loss of vital signs is dehydration, which is why if you are going to remove large amounts of epithelium from a subject you want to start an IV first and run multiple liters of fluid into them while working (assuming you want them to stay conscious). Trauma burn charts can help you calculate the exact amounts of fluid to run in. You can also use temporary bandages or styptic to deal with persistent oozing. Tl; dr an operator that knows what they are doing can keep the subject awake and vocalizing for several (>6) hours at least

Fascinating. So, theoretically, in theory and minecraft, you could peel the entire epidermis off a person without them losing consciousness?

Uh, it would be hard with regards to the scalp and the genitalia (in males) as those areas are very richly vascularized but it would theoretically be possible given appropriate tools and an operator who was quick Electrocautery would help a great deal

Interesting. I am still of the opinion that high speed lead poisoning is the smartest and most efficient solution, but for special individuals...

Yeah this is all extremely performative, labor intensive, and best spent on the particularly deserving

There is no real sound at all when dissecting live human tissue. Fascial bonds aren't that strong.

I've ripped pig skin off and it does kinda make a ripping noise?

Was the pig alive when you did so?

No

Well, there you go. The dirty secret of human surgery is that you can cut and slip through vascularized human tissue quite effortlessly if you know a few haptic tricks and your anatomy cold. No ripping required. Like with most things in life: lubrication makes it better
