It's up to the white men with guns to call the shots. They need to realize the "system" is far gone, unsalvagable. Might makes right. Whenever men in history did that, stood up to this crap, it made a difference, even if they got martyred in the process. I feel like if you took up the office of Sheriff that possibility should have always been in the back of your mind.

We need the frontier lawmen and highwaymen to grow some cajones and buck these tyrants. Me as a civilian, total not effective, but these guys have MRADS and lots of guns.
