@teto@cawfee.club artists which I know say no to Linux because they need Paint Tool SAI and Clip Studio Paint, which don't exist on Linux. It may be their fault that they depend on such software, but the fact remains the fact: their tools don't work on Linux and alternatives which available on Linux do not cover all needs. For example, Krita still can't open .sai files. None of them can open PSD with compatibility parity. Office software has some problems too, although I dunno what's the situation in that field. At least it's not so bad with games, it's even getting better.

@teto@cawfee.club this is just an example group. The thing I'm trying to say is that some shit still kicks your balls depending on your professional needs. Personally I'm fine with Krita now (still didn't move all my photoshop brushes, RIP), but having a chunk of old project files in .sai gives me a sad thought that I still will need to use proprietary windows-only software just to open these old files without a problem.

@vertka@suya.place chicken and egg problem. If there were more people on linux then more art software would be made for it. Wine and Proton were just a cheatcode basically.
