@sjw@neckbeard.xyz I like how this looks but I’m not confident tablet/phone linux OS’s will ever catch on. Desktop Linux works because developers like to use it; but what’s the pull for an OS with no app support that’s cumbersome to use? Maybe as a kids “first phone” type thing (so they’re not downloading inappropriate apps) but even then it seems like a bad idea

@sjw@neckbeard.xyz I don't know specifically. It's not something I've spent a great deal of time investigating. On the whole though I'm not a fan of having my private activities anal probed by government spooks of any description. Even the potential for that to happen I find incredibly irksome. Unfortunately to a great extent it's unavoidable/inevitable in this day and age, so it's more a question of picking your poison rather than being able to opt-out entirely.

@toiletpaper@shitposter.club It's nothing like that m8. The NSA needs secure computers too. It's the beauty of open source software! Also, if the NSA wanted to try and submit sketchy code they wouldn't do it openly as the NSA. Really, we likely wouldn't even know it was the NSA.
