By the time Hiro & team get the site back up, the userbase will have scattered either to other types of platforms entirely or smaller altchans where they immediately notice a drastic improvement over their old home board on 4chan, and they won't come back.

Old operating system and php code that hasn't really been updated much since moot sold it allowed some nerds to run an exploit through uploading a pdf that wasn't checked to see if it was actually a pdf and allowed the hacker to run code and get access to everything, including janny and mod info, source code, etc.

Also a lot of the jannies signed up with their own names and had .edu and .gov addresses proving what people thought for years now, which is that the faggot deleting your interesting posts and threads is some kind of do nothing "extremism researcher" or glowie who's really just a paid activist of sorts.

Another thing they found out was that there is, like big social media giants, a given (or sometimes not) reason for bans, and an internal reason for bans which are usually not the same.

I think one of the biggest failures of our top guys was they talked shit on things like trying to get our guys into janny spots. They considered it a foregone conclusion that our enemies would dominate online spaces and let our communication channels get fucking shredded.
