Thunderball was always my favorite as well. Goldfinger had better story structure and characterizations but TB had more Bond flavor to it.

The stunts were far cooler.
I got to see one of the actual watercraft that was used in the underwater sequence in person once.

It's a darng good Bond movie. Bond driving a tank or mowing down baddies with an AKS-74U while synth music cranks is a whole vibe unto itself.
