Orpingtons are very good birbs. They are extremely sociable with humans. Extremely low maintainence.

I got 4 Cinnamon Queen chicks and am working on their outside coop. Hen house coming. They are in a brood in the laundry room atm and getting big.

Wherever you're based be sure to build to account for the local predators. Be it foxes, birds of prey or even unruly dogs, they will always be trouble at some point.

I lost a bunch of chimkens and rabbits to hawks when I first moved here. The solution was to build an 8 foot high fence and then string fishing net across it.
