It has way less function, compared to Blab. Because if you "reply" to someone's post on Fedi, it still shows up in your followers' feeds. I only use quoasting here for comedic effect, or the most severe of draggings.

I do it sometimes to “hijack” the thread to make my own point. It’s useful because it provides the context and response without anyone having to click into the thread.
