>Honda's E-Clutch automates clutch control, eliminating stalling and ensuring smooth, precise gear changes. This innovation makes riding easier and more enjoyable for everyone. What do you think @ACL9000@poa.st ?

It's so many silly things at once. Nobody ever asked for this, first of all; it's just manufacturers who are addicted to growth freaking out that less than 3% of the population (and declining) purchase the stuff they make, and in their panic they're like MAYBE ITS THE ACCESSIBILITY PROBLEM OF THE HAND CLUTCH and develop this kind of gimmick. I think its only true purpose is to facilitate one-handed riding, which I know has some Japan-specific cultural background, but here on this side of the planet, is just dumb. The biggest problem with almost anything in the world today is inclusion. Trying to accommodate people who don't give a damn about the thing itself, or are simply incapable because of their intrinsic limitations, is idiocy. We have to do the opposite and kick the bottom half out of everything there is.

Also did you know the semi-computerized manual is already in some cars? The last run of Focuses are supposedly unstallable — if you lug it too hard something robotic in the transmission pushes the clutch back in for you to help stay moving. I'm not a fan of the idea.

We need a graduated licensing system that forbids people with automatic-only licenses from driving anywhere the speed limit reads higher than 45.
Kinda like they do for bikes In England.

it’s my god given right to buy a 1000cc piss missile at 17 years old and ghost ride it into a cement wall at Mach: fuck on the highway and I won’t let no Britbongs tell me otherwise dammit!
You will ride that 125 cc like a man and LIKE IT!

I actually think 150cc should be the minimum engine size in North America. 4-stroke 125s are so friggin awful and utterly devoid of any joy. On youtube, the bikers who have the biggest chip on their shoulder about the rules of the road are L-platers on 125s. They have to care because they can escape nobody. Their whole day gets twisted up and ruined by things I can't even detect from atop 115 horsepower.

In NC, when you lose your license (usually a DUI), you can still legally ride a 50cc scooter on the road (as long as it’s plated) without a drivers license. We call them liquor cycles, and they suck for all the other traffic. Mile long line of cars behind them, all waiting for an opening to pass. 45 down a hill, then 15 uphill.

I like scoots, but they have to be cool. Here in CT we don't need plates or anything if it's under 50cc, but you're not technically supposed to be able to exceed 35 mph. But anyway, the One True Answer to the Scooty Question is the Aprilia SR50 Ditech. That'll do 50 mph. You can tune them with a Gameboy.
Dewey just buys the first TaoTao he sees for $400, and they are slower than bicycles.
Yeah, not the easiest thing to find

True, but if you're banned from driving but still a discerning motorhead, you take that time.
Found one in WI for 4g. Found a beater in Il for 1600... Easier to find a Ducati Monster 400

There are three near me. Should I pick one up and bring it over? And do Monster 400s even exist outside Japan? The unobtainable unicorn I really want is a Lambretta SX200, but I'll settle for the Royal Alloy knockoff.
No, I don't want a scooter. The trees are all green, and the 3 weeks of good Southern weather is upon us, so I again find myself thinking wistfully of motorcycles. The 400 is grey import only.
