==== Fediverse /ani/mu/ Project Mega-Thread: 2025 ==== Ok, I know this Fedi project failed last year, but I am reviving it for this year, starting either the week of the 17th or the following week. I actually enjoyed hearing what music Fedi-bros likes and enjoyed figuring out how to explain my enjoyment or dissatisfaction with a particular artist, album, or song. I don't want to give that joy up simply because my illness has been kicking my ass these past five years. I love music and I want to keep expanding that appreciation and enjoyment as long as the Lord lets me in this life. This time around, I'm going to do certain things to limit and making review writing and publication more reasonable for me. For starters, I should and will obviously stick with one album a week, rather than trying to double up and overburden myself. It will mean that I cannot run the gamut of Western and Eastern music throughout the century as I would like, but that is a necessary to reduce the load and stress on me. I'm also going to keep the maximum number of songs a recommendation can have to fifteen, otherwise we will have the situation were the review has to be split into several posts over several days, like the review for They Might Be Giants' John Henry. I might do something like alternating between old and new, but we will see as the year progresses and as my body's condition will cooperate.

Highly recommend the album **In Absentia** by Porcupine Tree. Originally released in 2002 and remastered in 2017, it has aged like a fine wine 🍷. Here's a good quality vinyl rip of the whole album minus the first track that starts about 4 minutes in, because dmca bots are retarded. https://youtube.com/watch?v=73O6L90El7c https://youtube.com/watch?v=infxOZepFFM&pp
